Greeting faithful friends,
First of all, huge thanks to all of you for believing in our game enough to throw some cash in the ring and back it. It means a lot to us to know we’re not the only one’s who believe we’ve got something special here.
As you surely know, this particular campaign fell short of our goal and did not fund. However, we want you to know this is not the end. The sun still shines upon Solo Una Noche, and we have not thrown in the towel by any means.
As the saying goes: “We are the gatekeepers of our own destinies, and we will have our glory day in the hot sun.”
We’re currently formulating our strategy for how best to move forward toward another campaign, and would love to invite all of you to submit any ideas or suggestions you feel would be helpful.
Nothing is set in stone yet, but here’s what we’re thinking at this point:
- Invite all of you to join our “street team” as Solo Una Noche evangelists helping to spread the lucha love to grow our list of potential future backers (hence this update).
- We will be creating a print-at-home demo version of the game for those of you who can’t wait to jump into the ring – likely within the month. Obviously this won’t be as great as the full Solo Una Noche experience, but it will allow you to get your hands on a few decks and throw some smack down on your friends while eagerly anticipating what it could be. (Make sure you sign up for our email list below so you don’t miss the link when it goes out).
- We’re still reaching out to podcasters, industry experts, and other board game influencers and hoping to get the game in front of as many of them as possible. The right shout-out can be a game changer, so if you know of anyone we should contact (or better yet, if you can introduce us), please let us know.
- Later this summer, we will be doing an amazing giveaway where one lucky S.U.N. fan will win their own personalized character standee along with a production copy of the game (assuming it funds as course). This was the highest tier pledge in our recent campaign and is valued at $350. It won’t cost you anything to enter the giveaway, and the more folks you share it with the more entries you will receive. We will also announce this through our newsletter as soon as it’s live.
- Finally, we are currently planning to relaunch on Kickstarter sometime around the first of next year.
